ADSC Outstanding Women in Construction Award

ADSC Magazine is proud to introduce the Outstanding Women in Construction (OWIC) Award, a yearly recognition dedicated to honoring exceptional women who have made significant contributions to the construction industry. We believe that by highlighting their achievements, we can inspire future generations and promote workforce development.

Submission Criteria:

  • Nomination Period: Nominations will be accepted through November 1, 2023.
  • Eligibility: To be considered for the OWIC Award, nominees must meet the following requirements:
    1. Be a female professional of any age.
    2. Be actively employed in the construction industry, including general contracting, subcontracting, specialty trades, and other allied fields
    3. Be associated with an ADSC member company.
    4. Demonstrate a high level of respect from industry peers, leaders, and clients.
    5. Exhibit outstanding skills, leadership, and/or management capabilities.
    6. Make noteworthy contributions to their company, the construction industry, and/or their local community.

Nomination Process:

  • Anyone is eligible to submit a nomination for the OWIC Award using the nomination form provided below.
  • Nominations will be accepted until November 1, 2023.
  • Following the nomination period, our selection committee will review all nominations and select finalists based on the criteria mentioned above.
  • The finalists will be featured in a special Women in Construction (WIC) issue of Foundation Drilling Magazine, celebrating their accomplishments and contributions to the industry.

Award Presentation:

  • The winner of the OWIC Award will be announced in the Women in Construction issue of ADSC Magazine.
  • The winner will be announced at IFCEE 2024, providing an opportunity to celebrate and honor the winner in person.
