La Quinta . . . Gem of the Desert

The ancient Salton Sea, the Cahuillas, the ranches, the Bradshaw Trail, Hollywood celebrities, the Desert Club, PGA West – they are all part of La Quinta’s rich history.

La Quinta is nearly surrounded by the Santa Rosa Mountains and is located on the floor of the Coachella Valley. When the floor of the valley began to sink, it was covered by the Pacific Ocean. The City of La Quinta is the premier playground for active living with patio dining, boutique shops and top retailers, resort escapes, world-class golf, and the charm of the La Quinta Village. La Quinta is known for its pristine surroundings that showcase picture perfect views. The community inspires art and culture, health, wellness and serenity. If you’re looking to do more than relaxing by one of the Oasis’ famed pools, there’s plenty to do during your stay. Area activities and attractions are plentiful and include museums, casinos, tours, family-friendly activities, outdoor recreation and much more.

Rich in history as well as natural beauty, this will be the ideal place to immerse yourself in activities and breathtaking sights throughout the surrounding Palm Springs Desert community.

The week is full of activities for you to attend with Committee Meetings, Product Presentations, an Education Session  and Golf Tournament. During the Board of Directors Meeting, there will be an election of new Board members. Don’t miss the special luncheon on Wednesday celebrating the induction of Mr. Jim Harmston into the ADSC Hall of Fame. The  annual President’s Awards will be presented during the President’s Award Breakfast on Friday, and the 2016/2017 Scholarship Recipients will be recognized and presented to the membership.

See you in Palm Springs, California!

Few places on earth capture your spirit like La Quinta Resort & Club. An original desert hideaway at the foot of the spectacular Santa Rosa Mountains, La Quinta Resort & Club has been the personal refuge for Hollywood luminaries and world travelers [and their pets] since 1926. This golf resort in Palm Springs invites you to challenge golf’s legends on five championship courses, indulge in a rejuvenating afternoon at Spa La Quinta, savor creations of top chefs in one of seven restaurants, shop, play tennis, or simply relish the luxury of doing nothing at all.… it’s all here waiting for you!

Weather/Attire

The average high in February is mid 70s and average low is mid 40s.  Attire for the week is business casual. Attire for the “You Oughta Be in Pictures!” dinner is “Old Hollywood” formal.
